The Texas Police Star: Collective bargaining expands in Texas, CLEAT is ready
In the private sector, a labor union that provides its members with a broad array of services is called a “cradle-to-grave” organization. That description is fitting for CLEAT since our goal is to elevate the wages, benefits, and working conditions of our almost 18,000 members through any and all means possible. The well-known adage that “a rising tide raises all ships” has great applica- tion to the preceding statement since improvements in law enforcement workplaces of north, south, east and west Texas affect every officer in one form or another.
