Mary Gonzalez Wins Big in El Paso

Mary Gonzalez received the endorsement and support of the El Paso County Sheriff’s Officers Association as well as the El Paso Municipal Police Officers Association. Both local unions pushed hard for the Mary Gonzalez campaign throughout the El Paso district. Ms. Gonzalez won in a crowded Democratic primary without a runoff, becoming the newest Representative-Elect since no there is no Republican candidate in the General Election in November.

Rep. Gonzalez pledged early on to become an advocate for rank and file officers and their families. On a recent afternoon the EPCSOA and the EPMPOA PAC Chairs took a moment to celebrate Ms. Gonzalez’ campaign victory. Longtime CLEAT ally State Representative Chente Quintinilla D-El Paso is retiring. Congratulations to the CLEAT members in El Paso for supporting a strong candidate, supporting their local PAC’s and helping to bring home a political victory.
