Representative Marquez Receives Best of the House Award

State Representative Marisa Marquez was presented a CLEAT ‘Best of the House’ Award this week at her state Capitol office in Austin. Rep. Marquez was instrumental in helping to pass the CLEAT Worker’s Comp revisions that expedited the claims of injured officers for immediate medical attention for serious injuries received in the line of duty. Representative Marquez is currently the Vice Chair of the House Committee on County Affairs where she helps oversee some of the most important legislative proposals impacting Texas’ Finest who work in local County Sheriff’s Departments across the state. Representative Marquez recently won her re-election by a landslide in El Paso.
