The CLEAT Executive Board approved a historic agreement at its January meeting with POLICEPAY.NET that will provide all CLEAT local affiliates with pay and benefit comparability analysis and analysis of employer financial data. POLICEPAY.NET and CLEAT have an exclusive relationship within the State of Texas! Except for the Houston Police Officers Union and Dallas Police Association, every Texas law enforcement organization that wants to use POLICEPAY.NET’s services must be affiliated with CLEAT.

“This agreement is a major CLEAT service and benefit to all of our locals,” said CLEAT President Todd Harrison, “whether our locals have collective bargaining rights, meet and confer, or simply need to have information for a dialogue with their elected officials.” Harrison pointed out that anytime a CLEAT local seeks a pay raise or benefit improvement, comparability with similar cities or counties and the employer’s ability to pay are the main criteria that affect the outcome of the pay increase or better benefit. “POLICEPAY.NET will give CLEAT and its affiliated locals top-notch expertise and credibility to take on Texas public employers’ tendency to distort pay and benefit comparisons and manipulate their budget numbers,” Harrison said.

POLICEPAY.NET is recognized throughout the United States as the foremost expert in providing analytical advice to police associations. The organization, based out of Oklahoma, is led by Ron York. Mr. York is a former firefighter, a CPA and is considered the leading law enforcement financial expert in the country.

POILICEPAY.NET is very excited about providing this vital service to CLEAT,” stated Mr. York. “CLEAT will be the only organization in Texas that can use our services, so CLEAT locals will be the only groups in the state fully prepared when they deal with their employers.”

CLEAT President Todd Harrison noted that the POLICEPAY.NET service will go into effect July 1st of this year.
