CLEAT Benefit Trust
The CLEAT Benefit Trust is an ERISA Plan which provides dental and/or vision
benefits to participants of the Trust. Only members of a covered unit may
join the CLEAT Benefit Trust. A Covered Unit shall mean a group of Members
organized as any one of the
following:
- employees of the Administrator
- members and employees of a collective bargaining unit
- employees of a political subdivision
Each Covered Unit shall execute an Adoption Agreement. An Adoption Agreement
shall mean that binding legal agreement entered into between the Administrator
and a Covered Unit whereby the Covered Unit adopts the Plan and those certain
Schedules of Benefits which it has selected.
Current Covered Units include:
- Beaumont Police
- Brownsville Fire
- Brownsville Police
- CLEAT Staff
- Corpus Christi Police (to include association employees)
- Galveston Police
- El Paso County
- El Paso Police
- La Marque Police
- Laredo Police
- Orange Police
- Silsbee
- COBRA
