CLEAT Benefit Plan

The CLEAT Benefit Plan is an ERISA Plan which provides dental and vision benefits to its participants.

Plan Highlights

The plan is available to:

• Members of participating local associations
• Affiliated locals with the minimum of 75% participation
• Employees of a political subdivision
• Officers who were members of the plan for 12-months prior to termination of employment or retirement

How It Works

All CLEAT affiliated associations with or without bargaining rights are eligible to participate, and must meet certain requirements.

If the CLEAT affiliated local association participates in the plan, fire fighters and other city employees may be eligible if they meet minimum participation requirements.

Collective Bargaining Units shall execute an Adoption Agreement. An Adoption Agreement shall mean that binding legal agreement entered into between the Administrator and a Covered Unit whereby the Covered Unit adopts the Plan and those certain Schedules of Benefits which it has selected.
