A former police officer in the Houston area departments of West University Place and El Campo. In 1991 Dwight decided after 17 years of service to resign as a patrol sergeant to accept a position that was offered working out of the Fort Worth Regional CLEAT office. |

Carol Whitfield
CLEAT Benefit Plan
Carol has been with CLEAT since 1994 and currently manages the CLEAT Benefit Plan. The CBP provides benefits for participating groups and their dependents including a dental plan, vision care and an AD&D benefit. Carol visits the groups throughout the year to hold open enrollment, cadet class enrollment and visit one on one with participants. |

Danny Arredondo
Field Representative
Danny Arredondo was a CLEAT member for his entire career as a San Marcos police officer. Danny served on the board of the San Marcos Police Officer Association as well as serving as President for the past decade. Danny was instrumental in convincing city leaders there to implement Meet and Confer after CLEAT passed the law back in 2005. Danny also negotiated every contract with the city, handled political endorsements as well as the every day duties of being a local President. |

Tom Barbee
Field Representative
Tom was born and raised in Colorado. He served 7 years in the U.S. army to include service during Desert Storm. He has an Associate degree in law enforcement, is a Harvard trade union graduate and is a Master peace officer. |

Perry Hyden
Field Representative
Perry has a bachelor of science in Occupational Education – Criminal Justice. He also holds a master of Science in Strategic Leadership. Hyden has been a police officer for Kirby Police Department, Floresville Police Department, Bexar County Sheriff’s Office and the US Air Force Security Police. |

David Kilcrease

David Kilcrease spent 9 years in the United States Air Force and 25 years with the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office. David retired at the rank of Sergeant and worked virtually every position at the Bexar County Sheriffs Office. He has been involved in employee labor Associations nearly his entire career and is the immediate past President of the Deputy Sheriffs Association of Bexar County and region 3C Director at CLEAT. |

Janet Cole
Organizer
Janet Cole grew up in Dallas, Texas and graduated from Texas A&M with a degree in Marketing. She came to CLEAT two years ago working part time as an organizer and part time with the POMF. She is now a full time organizer that focuses primarily on County associations and helps them formulate strategies on membership growth, leadership training, communication tools, and local issues. |

Steve Ayala

Steve Ayala’s career in law enforcement started at the University of Texas at Tyler where he served two years as an officer. As an officer he graduated from UT-Tyler with a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice. Steve then returned back to his hometown where he’s been a police officer with the McAllen Police Department for over 17 years. Steve has served in several units in the department and has been an active board member for the CLEAT police associations in his department. Steve is a part-time Organizer and assigned to CLEAT’s newest office in the Rio Grande Valley. |
